WEST VOLUSIA KENNEL CLUB
Building a Better World for Dogs since 1974
Membership Application Process
Thank you for your interest in the West Volusia Kennel Club. Our organization has been actively promoting the AKC, dog sports, and responsible dog ownership since our founding in 1974. We offer the local community an organization where dog lovers of all walks of life can come together and benefit from the knowledge and experience of all the members in the club. The people that belong to the club are involved in dogs in a variety of ways. From veterinarians to just regular pet owners and everything in between. The tie that binds us together is our love and passion for our four-legged friends.
If you are looking for a club that will help you better understand and care for your dog and also let you become more active with dog sports and other activities that promote the special bond between people and dogs, then the West Volusia Kennel Club is the place for you.

Please read the information provided below regarding how the membership process works.
The West Volusia Kennel Club is now accepting applications online.
An application fee must be paid prior to filling out and submitting the membership application. The link to the membership application payment is provided just before the Membership Application Form below.
Once you've paid the application fee, read and fill out the Membership Application Form as accurately as possible. After the application has been submitted, the Membership Chairperson will contact you. This normally happens within 48 hours. They will be able to answer any questions you may have and introduce you to the club members at your first meeting.

While attending your third club meeting, the club members will vote on your application and you will be informed of the result via email from the Membership Chairperson. Notification of the result normally happens within 24 hours of the vote.

If for some reason you are unable to attend a monthly meeting, you must notify your sponsors or the Membership Chairperson as soon as possible so that the club is aware of your situation. Failure to attend three consecutive membership meetings does not necessarily disqualify you from becoming a member. Absences can be excused provided you notify the club beforehand. If prior notification was not possible, you must contact the Membership Chairperson as soon afterwards as possible.

If you are applying for a Couples membership, each person must fill out a separate application so that we have both individuals' information.

The WVKC General Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the The Church of the Nazarene, 913 E. New York Avenue, DeLand, FL 32724.

We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to our club.
