Community Education
Our members are people that truly love their dogs. We can't imagine a world without them. We're so proud of our four legged companions that we go out of our way to talk about them with the people we work with, play with, do business with, or even meet for the first time. Dogs always seem to come up in our conversations. Perhaps we go a little too far when we start pulling up the photos. But truth be told, half the time, whoever we're talking to turns around and pulls up pictures of their dogs. In fact, it's estimated that approximately a third of all U.S. households have a least one dog in the family. That's a lot of dogs!
Dogs are a big part of this country's social fabric. They are family members to so many of us. That's why we feel that educating both dog owners and non-dog owners about our four legged friends helps everyone have a better understanding of these wonderful animals.
If you're one of those people that loves to know more about their dog and spread that knowledge, this is the place for you. We strive to foster a better understanding of the dogs we live with and show people how to build even stronger bonds with their dogs. The more you know about your dog, the better the chance you'll have a loving and healthy relationship.
The AKC and its member clubs have a plethora of information about dogs and dog ownership that we believe will help all dog owners have a better understanding of their canine partners. We hope the information presented on this web page can improve the lives of dogs and their owners in Volusia County and everywhere else.
