Volunteer with our non-profit kennel club! Each year, we host or participate in several exciting events, including a 3-day dog show and festive holiday events. These events wouldn’t be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers like you!

 

We’re always looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist with parking, giving directions, raffle, stewarding, setup, and cleanup. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or an entire event, every bit of help makes a difference.

Becoming a member of the West Volusia Kennel Club or any American Kennel Club (AKC) member organization is a rewarding opportunity for dog enthusiasts who support the preservation and promotion of purebred dogs. Membership connects you with a community of passionate individuals who share your love for dogs while providing access to invaluable resources, from training classes and breeder referrals to educational seminars and hands-on experience at events like dog shows and community gatherings.

Join the West Volusia Kennel Club—Here’s How!

We’re excited you’re interested in becoming a member of the WVKC! Applying is simple and can now be done online. Here’s how it works:

  1. Pay the Application Fee
    Before filling out your application, make your payment using the link provided above.

  2. Complete the Application Form
    Once you’ve paid, fill out the Membership Application Form as accurately as possible. After submitting it, our Membership Chairperson will contact you to answer your questions and help you get started.

  3. Attend Club Meetings
    Attend three consecutive general meetings, held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at The Church of the Nazarene, 913 E. New York Avenue, DeLand, FL. At your third meeting, club members will vote on your application, and you’ll receive the results via email within 24 hours of the vote.

 

If you can’t attend a meeting, notify your sponsor or the Membership Chairperson as soon as possible so arrangements can be made. Absences can be excused if the club is informed ahead of time.

For Couples Memberships, each person must complete a separate application.
