Our Mission

The West Volusia Kennel Club is committed to promoting responsible dog ownership, advancing the welfare of dogs, and fostering a supportive community for purebred dog enthusiasts. Through educational programs, expert-led training classes, and community events, we empower dog owners with the knowledge and skills to build strong, healthy relationships with their pets. Together, we strive to make a lasting, positive impact on our community and the lives of dogs everywhere.

Our History

Founded with a passion for fostering responsible dog ownership and celebrating the bond between humans and their canine companions, the West Volusia Kennel Club has been a cornerstone of the Volusia County community for decades. Over the years, the club has expanded its reach through a variety of initiatives, from starting the innovative Prison Pups N Pals program, which trains shelter dogs for adoption, to offering Breeder Referral Services that guide families in finding their perfect dog.

The WVKC has also become known for its vibrant annual events, including the All-Breed Dog Show, summer picnics, and Meet the Breed demonstrations, which bring dog lovers together in celebration of their shared passion. Education remains a key focus, with experienced trainers offering classes in obedience, rally, and conformation handling to help owners and their dogs succeed at every level.

Through outreach efforts, the WVKC continues to inspire dog enthusiasts and promote better understanding and care for dogs in the community. Today, the club stands as a proud advocate for all things canine, providing a place where dogs and their owners can thrive together.
